Graphic designer and illustrator Klaus Voormann, who created the album cover of REVOLVER in 1966, decided to draw a graphic novel of the making of the grammy awarded cover artwork and tell what he experienced with the band during these days. The resulting graphic novel was the core of "birth of an icon", framed by many stories, photos and illustrations in regard to Klaus Voormanns REVOLVER artwork and it‘s impulse to the cover art. The book is bilingual (english and german). The hardcover book (29cm x 29cm) includes 146 pages and is bound with thread stitching. In October 2016 german publishing company „Delius Klasing“ issued a softcover edition which is also available in book trade.
